What is your current position and what do you find exciting about it?      

I currently lead Quality Control at Amway, an entrepreneur-led health and well-being company. My team helps ensure the products we make are safe, effective, and meet quality and regulatory standards. I enjoy the variety of the work, from solving technical challenges to helping people grow and develop in their careers.

How did your GVSU Chemistry/Biochemistry degree help you prepare you for your current work?

My Chemistry degree from GVSU gave me a strong foundation in scientific thinking and problem solving. Through undergraduate research, I learned how to design experiments, work through challenges, and communicate results clearly. I later earned a graduate degree in analytical chemistry, which helped me further develop my technical knowledge and understanding of analytical chemistry. Together, these experiences prepared me for a career in the sciences.
