WGVU Morning Show Interview with Zachary Kadish, '07

Zack applied at several universities around Michigan but ultimately chose GVSU after a campus tour.  He liked the community vibe and knew the smaller class size was a better fit for him... more accountability.

He is now a Senior Investigator with the U.S. Marshal Service which falls under the U.S. Department of Justice.  The U.S. Marshals enforce the orders given by federal judiciaries as well as protecting judges all across the country.  Their duties are very similar to the Secret Service for the President, but for federal judiciaries.

He has been with the U.S. Marshals for 13 years traveling the country and world in various capacities.  In his current role, he has participated in the investigations of high-profile cases such as the Boston Marathon attack and the El Chapo drug case.  Other positions he's held has been with the Special Ops team that has trained Afghanistan police and as an investigator specializing in the prosecution of sex offenders that would avoid detection by moving state to state.

Zack credits his diverse education at GVSU into making him the well-rounded individual that he is today which has served him well in his career.

His advice to current students would be to take advantage of the internships offered through your program and to tap into the knowledge of your professors.  Finding your likes and dislikes early on and to get involved in as much as you can and to experience all you can.
