WGVU Morning Show Interview with Autumn Hubbard, MPA '15

While being interviewed by Shelley Irwin, host of the WGVU Morning Show, Autumn shared why she returned to Grand Rapids to pursue her master's degree in public administration.

For Autumn, the robust, philanthropic sector in Grand Rapids, along with the great reputation and hands-on nature of the program, was a no-brainer.

She was attracted to several aspects of the program, the first being that every course had a hands-on, in community experience that partnered you with a local organization to apply what you were learning in the classroom.  This concept introduced her to a wide variety of different kinds of nonprofits, even different fields within the nonprofit sector that someone might not even have thought of.

Secondly, the multiple concentrations that were available.  These sometimes overlapping concentrations strengthened her knowledge regarding the public/private partnerships in West Michigan and throughout the nation when it came to true public service - collaborations are key.

Autumn currently serves as the Fundraising Marketing Manager for Bethany Christian Services where she manages donor communications.

She is also a member of the School of Public, Nonprofit and Health Administration's Alumni Board.
