Torres receives Commitment to Service Student Award by Campus Compact for Michigan

Stephanie Torres was recognized for her civic contributions by Campus Compact of Michigan, a 24-member coalition of institutions dedicated to expanding opportunities for civic engagement and community service.

She is a recent graduate of the School of Public, Nonprofit and Health Administration at GVSU and received her bachelor's degree in public and nonprofit administration.

Torres was a student worker for the Community Service Learning Center. In that role, she led campus blood drives andĀ fostered a partnership with Versiti Blood Center of Michigan. Described by a nominator as a servant leader, Torres connected students to Alternative Breaks, Circle K and other student service organizations.
