Study of the limitations used in lumped element analysis and how to use distributive models and network theory to design common communication components found in wireless and wired systems. Topics include signal propagation, telegraph equation, scattering parameters, Smith charts, loading conditions, matching techniques, microstrip filters, microwave active devices.
