EDS 405 - Teaching Language and Reading to Students with Disabilities

This course examines language development and evidence-based practices for systematically planning and explicitly teaching foundational oral language and reading skills to students with disabilities including autism spectrum disorder, cognitive impairment, emotional impairment, and specific learning disability including those with dyslexia. Prerequisites: Declaration of special education major and at least a B- or better required in the following: EDS 205, EDS 305, EDS 306, EDS 332.
