Requirements for the M.S. in Health Informatics and Bioinformatics

Overall requirements for the M.S. in health informatics and bioinformatics consist of 36 credits, with a cumulative GPA of 3.0. Consistent with Grand Valley policy, all courses must be completed within eight consecutive years from entry into the first graduate course.

Specific course requirements include:

Four Common Core Courses (Credits: 12)

Seminar Course (Credits: 2)

Five Directed Courses (Credits: 15)

Choose A Program Focus (Two-Course Sequence)

  • CIS 677 - High-Performance Computing (3 credits)
  • CIS 678 - Machine Learning (3 credits)
