MTH 221 - Mathematics for Elementary Teachers I

Exploration of the teaching and learning of geometry, measurement, patterns and functions, probability, and statistics in elementary school mathematics, emphasizing development of mathematical representations and communication. Concepts are developed through hands-on experiences exploring mathematical models, strategies, relationships, and problem-solving. Fulfills Foundations - Mathematical Sciences. Prerequisites: MTH 110 or MTH 122 and at least sophomore standing.
