LAS 330 - Colonial Latin America
This course will focus on specific themes related to Latin American civilization and culture from preconquest times to the 19th century. Topics include Amerindian civilizations; encounters between Amerindians, Europeans, and Africans; makings of a colonial society; collapse of colonial rule; wars of independence.
