BMS 431 - Medical Virology

A study of the important principles underlying the field of virology including viral architecture, nomenclature and genetics; mechanisms of entry and spread within the body; host resistance and viral evasion of the immune response; and the epidemiology of important viruses in the world today. Cross-listed with BMS 531. Offered winter semester. Prerequisites: BMS 212 and CHM 241 or their transfer equivalents from other institutions.
