EDI 416 - Teaching Early Language and Literacy

An in-depth, critical study of theories and methods for supporting early language and literacy during the ages from birth to age eight. Culturally and developmentally relevant assessment, curriculum, and pedagogy are emphasized as candidates apply knowledge of theory, research, and best practices. Requires field based experience. Offered fall and winter semesters. Prerequisites: PSY 305 and EDI 311.
