PHI 330 - Legal Philosophy

Laws create and preserve rights. We will explore the nature, formation and interpretation of laws. What are they? Where do they come from? And how do we tell what they mean? We will also consider specific issues such as equality and affirmative action, and punishment and the death penalty. Offered fall semester, even-numbered years. Prerequisite: Junior standing.
