HST 351 - Ancient Rome

Roman history from the foundation of the city of Rome through the reign of Augustus. Emphasis on the development of historical writing in the Roman World, a critical examination of ancient and modern historiography, and significant aspects of Roman political and social history. Offered fall semester of even numbered years.
