HST 377 - History of Warfare

Survey of the role of warfare in world history from prehistory to the beginning of the industrial era. Uses a variety of media and sources to examine why and how humans have fought wars and how warfare has affected different aspects of human experience in different world regions and eras. Part of the War and Peace theme. Offered fall and winter semesters. Prerequisites: Completion of Historical Perspectives Foundation or junior standing.
