TSA Finalizes May 7, 2025 as the Start Date for Real ID Enforcement

On January 13, 2025 the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) published a final rule confirming the start date for enforcement of Real ID driver’s licenses and state identification cards to board commercial airline flights will be May 7, 2025. This applies to domestic flights.  A passport will still be required for international flights. A U.S. passport can be used in place of a Real ID on domestic flights.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT FOR TRAVELERS TO THE UNITED KINGDOM

Starting January 8, 2025, United States citizens (and citizens of 50 other countries/territories) that are traveling to the United Kingdom are required to have an Electronic Travel Authorization unless they have a visa.
