Nina Gropp

Nina was hired onto the project for the 2020 field season. Due to circumstances surrounding COVID-19, the field season was postponed indefinitely. Instead of collecting data in the field, Nina spent her summer heavily focused on outreach and has done extensive research on how to best foster a relationship with communities in Alaska, Michigan, and beyond. In 2021, she assisted with data collection, data entry, and plant collection in Utqiaġvik.

Nina graduated in December 2020 with a bachelor's in Biology with an emphasis in Ecology and Evolution, and a minor in Spanish.

She is interested in climate change, ecophysiology, and agricultural science.
