Data and The Digital World Summer Intensive

This intensive summer institute brings together faculty from across the university interested in data and digital approaches to teaching and scholarship. Whether you are a novice or an experienced practitioner, we invite you to hone your skills, explore a range of applications and approaches, learn from and with colleagues, and explore potential collaborations. A schedule of 2- and 4-hour hands-on workshops address topics such as data visualization, analytics, data management, network analysis, digital storytelling and social media. Design Thinking Immersion

This two-day workshop, facilitated by GVSU faculty, will introduce faculty to the Design Thinking framework in a fast-paced, hands-on way. Personnel Portfolio Workshop

Monday, June 5 - Friday, June 9
4002 L. William Seidman Center

This 5-day workshop is for faculty who are preparing for pre-tenure and tenure reviews, or for promotion. Working closely with faculty mentors, participants will compose their Integrative/Reflective Statement and prepare other supporting materials for the portfolio in accordance with their college and unit personnel policies. Workshop mentors recommend that participants do not teach at the same time that they participate in this workshop. For more information, click here.
