State of Wetlands in Spain published in Frontiers in Ecology and the Environment

Though important as habitat, wetlands face trouble around the world, and Spain is no exception. Spanish colleagues and Bopi Biddanda recently published a piece in Frontiers in Ecology and the Environment about protecting the Spanish wetlands of the Doñana and Las Tablas de Daimiel national parks. In these areas, agricultural use of water and pollution threatens these critical wetlands, and the authors call upon both government and citizens to speak up to defend them.
