KEEP IN MIND

  • Once you have selected a program, be sure to meet with your adviser at least three months prior to departing for your program.
  • Be sure to explore both GVSU and external options by browsing the Program Suggestions. Students are not limited to GVSU study abroad programs.
  • There are several opportunities to intern and or volunteer while abroad.
  • Students are also able to fulfill General Education requirements abroad, including their General Education Issues requirement.

Academic Advice

  • Courses within the PAS program would not be eligible for study abroad equivalencies as no transfer credits are accepted for program completion. This would include: PAS 501, PAS 511, PAS 521, PAS 561, PAS 502, PAS 512, PAS 522, PAS 532, PAS 542, PAS 551, PAS 562, PAS 572, PAS 582, PAS 503, PAS 513, PAS 523, PAS 533, PAS 543, PAS 553, PAS 563, PAS 573, PAS 583, PAS 504, PAS 514, PAS 524, PAS 534, PAS 544, PAS 554, PAS 564, PAS 574, PAS 584, PAS 610, PAS 620, PAS 630
  • PAS students do have the option of completing an elective rotation as part of their clinical year coursework in PAS 610, 620, or 630 to complete a 2-4 week health care rotation in an international setting
