During my time abroad not only did I learn about cultures all over Europe, but I learned a whole lot about myself too. I made new friends (my roommate who I did not know prior is now one of my best friends) and got to explore with them and spent a lot of time by myself, something I now love to do. The best parts were traveling on the weekends and experiencing history, food, community, and more. Rome became my second home, I am forever grateful to have been surrounded by their beautiful culture every day. When my roommate and I were bored we could scooter or just walk to the Colosseum and grab some gelato literally one minute away from our apartment. The Tiber river became my normal walking route, I would walk at sunset and see the Vatican peek out from a distance.
