Are you interested in studying abroad on the Netherlands English Education program? Attend this upcoming information session!
About the program:
Maastricht, Netherlands — This program is located in Maastricht, a vibrant university town in southern Netherlands near the borders of Belgium and Germany. Students will participate in a field placement in an international or bilingual Dutch elementary or secondary school and complete two (3-credit) courses that fulfill degree requirements. For Secondary English Ed students, the courses = ENG 365 & ENG 400. For Elementary Ed students (PCKET & CSAT), the courses = ENG 355 & ENG 401.
The program includes a walking and biking orientation to Maastricht and the environs. In addition to other local excursions, there will be an overnight trip to Amsterdam and the Anne Frank House. Students will be encouraged to travel on their own to nearby destinations such as Paris, Bruges, Antwerp, or London on several free weekends.
Program Highlights:
- Live in Maastricht, a vibrant university town in southern Netherlands
- Participate in field placements in Dutch bilingual or international schools
- Walking and biking orientation, local excursions, and trip to Amsterdam
