Faculty-Led Program Commitment and Financial Responsibility Policy
READ THE FOLLOWING CAREFULLY.
All Faculty-Led program applicants are responsible for knowing the content below.

Due at the time of application submission, all students are required to pay:
- Non-refundable $55 Application Fee
- Refundable $100 Required Forms Deposit
The $100 Required Forms Deposit will be refunded to:
- Student who are admitted to the program; AND
- Successfully complete all required forms, orientations, and program requirements by established deadlines.
If students withdraw from the program, decline participation after acceptance, or fail to complete required program requirements, they will forfeit the $100 Required Forms Deposit.
$300 Program Commitment Deposit is due no later than February 15. Students may submit the deposit earlier after accepting their offer of participation.
The deposit is applied toward the student's overall program cost.
Non-refundable after February 15 except in approved exception circumstances.
Faculty-led program applications are accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis. Faculty leaders are expected to review complete applications and provide an admission decision within two weeks of application submission whenever possible.
Applications submitted near the February 1 final application deadline should receive an admission decision within one week to allow students sufficient time to complete the commitment process by February 15.
Students may receive an admission decision at any point during the application period. Students who are admitted prior to February 15 may accept their offer and submit their Program Commitment Deposit at any time but are not required to do so until the Commitment Deadline.
Applications remain open until the program reaches capacity or until the February 1 final application deadline, whichever occurs first.

Faculty-led programs often require advance commitments for housing, transportation, excursions, event tickets, airfare, and other program-related expenses.
Program expenses may be incurred before or after the February 15 commitment deadline.
Beginning February 15, students who commit to participate assume financial responsibility for unrecoverable program expenses incurred on their behalf.
If a student withdraws after February 15, the student is responsible for the greater of:
- Unrecoverable program expenses incurred on the student's behalf; or
- The minimum financial responsibility amount established by the schedule below.
The Padnos Center for Global Experiences will make reasonable efforts to avoid or recover expenses when possible; however, students remain responsible for unrecoverable costs associated with their participation.

*This schedule applies regardless of the amount paid at the time of withdrawal. Any outstanding balance will remain the responsibility of the student and will be billed through university processes.
Exceptions may be considered for:
- Program cancellation.
- University action preventing participation.
- Other circumstances approved by the Padnos Center for Global Experiences.
Student Billing:
Program charges will be billed through existing university billing processes. Students may utilize payment plans or other payment options offered through Student Accounts.
