Cost Breakdown for UDLAP (Summer)

This is the estimated budget for this study abroad program. It serves as an estimated cost of attendance for your study abroad program. Students often pay for study abroad through a combination of financial aid, personal funds, scholarships, grants, and alternative loans. The total amount listed as the Total Program Cost is the maximum amount of aid you can receive from GVSU. This estimated cost of attendance does not reflect the amount of aid you will qualify for, simply the cap on how much could be award to you.

Program Fee

Costs range from: $2,285 - $4,030*

Paid to UDLAP. UDLAP offers many options for summer programs. Students can choose from 1 or 2 courses, housing with or without meals, and more. See website for program costs for each specific program.

IS 380 Course Fee


Paid to GVSU. The IS 380 course fee is $27 per credit hour. Participants of this program will register for 6 credits of IS 380.

Additional meals

Students who select housing without meals will need to consider the estimated cost for meals. This is an on-site expenses.

Health insurance/ISIC

$28 - $208

Paid to Insurance Provider of your choosing. The Basic ISIC card is ($28) or ISIC Explorer ($208) and will meet the PIC health insurance requirement.
