Apply to study abroad in the GVSU Study Abroad Application Portal (ViaTRM)

Deadline for COMPLETED Application: FEB. 15

Deadline for COMPLETED Application: SEPT 10

PIC sends Host University application instructions to student

1-2 weeks after Feb. 15 deadline

1-2 weeks after Sept. 10 deadline

Student must complete and return all host application materials to PIC

Student attends required PIC pre-departure orientation

Select one session to attend from February to April

Select one session to attend from September to November

APU will send acceptance letters to students. Once students have acceptance and CoE from APU, they can purchase their flight.

Student completes and returns all required housing and course registration paperwork to APU

Student applies for student visa after receiving official paper copy of acceptance letter from APU

Tuition payment due to GVSU (see regular tuition payment deadline schedule)

Travel to Japan

Return to US
