Donijo Robbins (aka Donijo DeJonge) is Professor of Public Finance.

Professor Robbins teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in public budgeting, public finance, and research methods. She has authored and co-authored a number of journal articles and book chapters. Her text book, Understanding Research Methods: A Guide for the Public and Nonprofit Manager was published in 2008.
Professor Robbins is the Secretary and Archivist for the Association for Public Budgeting and Finance, a member of the Government Finance Officers Association, The Economic Club of Grand Rapids, The Grand Rapids Urban League, and The American Society of Public Administration.
Prior to joining the faculty at GVSU in 2001, Professor Robbins was an assistant professor with the Department of Public Administration at the University of Maine. From December 2010 to December 2012, she served as Comptroller of the City of Grand Rapids.
Professor Robbins holds a PhD in public administration and an MA in economics from Rutgers University Newark and a BS in economics and political science from Central Michigan University.
