2025

  • Work with Deans to connect with college leaders (such as unit head meetings).
  • Reach out to schedule additional engagements with faculty governance and college leaders, including ECS/UAS, FSBC, UCC, Grad Council, New Programs Council, and the Assistant and Associate Deans working group, either during summer retreats or at early fall meetings.
  • Shared updates at FSBC, engaged with Academic Affairs leaders at Provost's Cabinet and through hands-on workshops, and met with individuals and small groups on request.
  • Program Portfolio Workshop: A two-day workshop in mid-February, where GVSU leaders** used their judgment and Gray DI market data to identify attractive potential new academic programs in each market and growth opportunities among existing academic programs.
  • Curriculum Efficiency Workshop: A one-day workshop in mid-March, where GVSU leaders** used their judgment and department- and course-level data to identify opportunities to expand instructional staff for growth and find opportunities for delivering courses and programs more efficiently (such as reducing the number of low enrolled sections).

  • Extend to Academic Affairs through Lakers Ready and other channels starting in February 2025.
  • Connect with other divisions after Academic Affairs rollout.

2024

  • Outreach to past invitees: End-of-semester summary email with another invitation to view recordings, use the system, and provide feedback.
  • Data quality assurance: Conducted by Associate Deans and staff in the Office of Institutional Analysis.
  • FAQ: Initial draft written based on early feedback.
  • New program proposals: Compared Gray DI output with information used in our current system following input from New Programs Council.
  • Feedback sessions with participants of the introductory sessions and the hands-on training workshops.
  • Hands-on training workshops focusing on the Markets module; see the Videos section of this website.
  • Introduction to Gray DI staff, philosophy, and platform: Senior Leadership Team (SLT), College Deans, Associate and Assistant Deans, AVPs, ECS/UAS, FSBC, key committee chairs, unit heads, other leaders; see the Videos section of this website.
