Transfer of Data from Workday and Banner to Watermark Faculty Success (a.k.a. Digital Measures) – 2025

Faculty use Watermark Faculty Success (a.k.a. Digital Measures) to document their work and create Faculty Workload Plans (FWP’s) and Faculty Workload Reports (FWR’s). This system is not directly connected to other systems at GVSU, particularly Workday and Banner, so there are manual transfers of data that are needed. Working with IT, the Office of the Provost published the following schedule in 2025. This schedule will be revised after Workday Student goes live.

One key takeaway from this timetable: accounts for new regular and affiliate faculty are created automatically during the month of September and are available by the end of the month. For other situations, accounts need to be created manually by GVSU’s DM/Watermark coordinator.

• First day of Fall Semester: deadline for Provost's Office to have appointment information (unit, rank, etc.) for each regular and affiliate faculty member accurate on Workday
• Early September: annual delivery of appointment information (unit, rank, etc.) from Workday to Watermark, including secondary/joint appointments (e.g. CLAS & Brooks)
• End of September: (ideally, depends on Watermark): appointment information available on DM/Watermark
• Last week of September: delivery of Fall course assignments from Banner to Watermark.
• End of October: (ideally, depends on Watermark): course information for Fall courses available on DM/Watermark
• Last week of January: delivery of Winter course assignments from Banner to Watermark.
• End of February: (ideally, depends on Watermark): course information for Winter courses available on DM/Watermark
• Second week of July: delivery of Summer course assignments from Banner to Watermark.
• By mid-August: (ideally, depends on Watermark): course information for Summer courses available on DM/Watermark
