Alternative Scheduling of Courses During Recess and Break Days Request Form

Policy: Alternative Schedules for Selected Programs: Some programs may wish to schedule activities such as clinical placements during recess and breaks days. All deviations from the GVSU academic schedule will need to be approved by the Provost.
Process: A program leader (e.g. unit head or director) submits a written proposal with rationale to the dean for that program. If the dean supports the proposal, the dean would then ask the Provost for final approval. Programs can request approval for an alternative schedule for either one year or permanently (complete form below). Submit requests via the following form to Associate Vice President Aboufadel in the Office of the Provost (3090 JHZ). The Registrar will be consulted in making a determination.
