  • Price: $15

 

Ticket Details:

  • Tickets are only available to purchase online - no tickets will be sold at the door. Ticket sales close Saturday, February 28, 2026 at 10 p.m.
  • Each GVSU student, faculty, or staff may purchase two tickets
  • All attendees must bring a valid ID
  • Once ticket is purchased no refunds will be issued except in the event of cancelation of Presidents' Ball

Photography Release Information

Please note, photography, audio, and video recording will occur at this event.

By attending this event and entering the premises you consent to all recording media and its release, publication, exhibition, or reproduction by Grand Valley State University.

The Following Items are Strictly Prohibited:

  • Food, drinks, or any containers
  • Weapons of any kind: knives, fireworks, mace, lighters, etc.
  • Mace/Pepper spray
  • Signs/posters that would block view of others
  • Cigarettes, e-cigarettes, drugs, or alcohol of any kind

Sensory Sensitive Rooms

On the second floor of the venue a Sensory Sensitive room will be available from 7:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. in the Vanguard Room.

There will be sunglasses, ear plugs, board games, stress balls/fidget toys, and coloring pages available. 

Sensory kits provided by the venue include a wiggle seat, lap pad, noise cancelling headphones, fidget toy, strobe cancelling glasses, and verbal cue cards will be available for use by giving your ID to a staff member. 

Hearing loops are also available in the venue.

Attendance Information

Picture ID and ticket required for admission.

Doors for the dance will open at 7 p.m. and will close at 10 p.m.

The event will conclude at 12 a.m. (Midnight).

Bags up to 12” x 6” x 12” are allowed in the venue. All bags will be searched prior to entry. Bags that are not clear will be subject to additional search.

 

Alcohol sales will be available from GLC Live at 20 Monroe until 10 p.m. Please bring a valid State-Issued ID for purchase.

Bars will remain open until end of event for purchase of non-alcoholic drinks.

Water will be available free of charge.

Direct charter buses are available from the Kirkhof Center in Allendale to GLC Live at 20 Monroe in downtown Grand Rapids. Food and beverages are prohibited on the bus.

Last charter bus departs from the Kirkhof Center at 9:30 p.m.
Last charter bus departs from GLC Live at 20 Monroe at 12:30 a.m.

Coat check will be ran by GLC Live at 20 Monroe. GVSU is not responsible for lost or stolen items. It is recommended to not leave valuables unattended. 

Use Ottawa Avenue entrance. Walk-through metal detectors, wanding, and bag checks will be conducted at every point-of-entry into GLC Live at 20 Monroe. We encourage all guests to have their ticket(s) and ID ready in advance of entering. This will help to avoid long lines and wait times.

Take the time to educate yourself on how to party smart. Know your resources and action plan before attending Presidents' Ball. For any questions on how to party smart, reach out to the Alcohol & Other Drugs Services at [email protected].

 

Photographs and video will be taken during this event. Your presence gives consent for any such photographs or video to be used for advertising and publicity purposes by Grand Valley State University.

All guest will subject to a security check and screening at the venue and will be required to go through a metal detector.

All guest IDs will be checked upon entry. Attendants who are of legal drinking age (21 and up) will be given a wristband allowing purchase of alcoholic drinks at the bar.

For their own safety, students who appear to be intoxicated will not be able to enter the event or ride the charter buses to downtown.

Prohibited items include:

  • Outside food or beverage
  • Weapons
  • Alcohol, vapes, and other drugs
  • Bags up to 12” x 6” x 12” are allowed in the venue. All bags will be searched prior to entry. Bags that are not clear will be subject to additional search.

Live Jazz Band: 7 - 8 p.m.
