Cody Gradwell

Cody graduated in 2016 and joined Peace Corps Mongolia in 2017. He lived in a ger (yurt) in the Mongolian countryside teaching English before becoming a world history teacher at a top private international school in Ulaanbaatar. Additionally, Cody often works with the U.S. Embassy coordinating and organizing events as well as promoting cultural exchange. Cody also frequently takes advantage of the immense opportunities available to foreigners, such as giving public lectures, appearing in nationally broadcasted television, and competing in the Ulaanbaatar half marathon. Learning the Mongolian language has allowed him to pursue independent adventures to some of the most remote areas in the world. Cody intends to continue working in Mongolia until at least 2020 before completing his master’s degree and continuing to work abroad.
