Sheila Garcia
Sheila Garcia graduated magna cum laude from GVSU in 2014 with an international relations major and an East Asian studies minor. Sheila Garcia is also a 2016 Spectrum Scholar of the American Library Association. After graduating, Sheila worked at the Grand Rapids Public Library as a Reference Library Assistant for three years. In 2017, Sheila obtained her Master's in Library and Information Science degree from Wayne State University and proceeded to complete a 3-year residency with the University of Michigan libraries.
From 2019 to 2022, Sheila was the liaison librarian for the Criminal Justice, Legal Studies, and Hospitality and Tourism Management departments at GVSU. In 2022, Sheila went to the University of California in Santa Cruz, where she works presently as an Online Learning Librarian.
