Katrina (Maynes) Strong
Katrina graduated Magna Cum Laude from Grand Valley State University in 2014 with a B.A. in History and a minor in International Relations. She was the recipient of several awards at GVSU, including a Frederik Meijer First Generation Honors College Scholarship, Niemeyer History Scholarship, Grand Valley Faculty Scholarship, and the Grand Valley Award for Excellence.
While maintaining excellent academic performance, Katrina was also involved in numerous campus groups, including Phi Alpha Theta, the History Honors Fraternity, and Phi Sigma Pi, the Academic Honors Fraternity. She also served as vice president of the International Relations Organization and editor of the Grand Valley Journal of History. Katrina was one of only three Lead Peer Research Consultants at Grand Valley’s Student Academic Success Center, working with students and mentoring and training incoming consultants.
After graduating from GVSU, Katrina continued her education at Cambridge University, earning a Master of Philosophy in Medieval History. She then worked as a Human Resources Support Analyst and HRIS Consultant at Plante Moran. Currently, Katrina is an HR Transformation Senior Consultant at Deloitte Consulting.
