Ellyanne Rosenthal

I graduated in 2011 with a double major in international relations and German. As a student at GVSU, I worked as a resident assistant for three years. In addition, I studied abroad twice at the Pädagogische Hochschule in Schwäbisch Gmünd, Germany.

Since graduating from GVSU I have lived in Stuttgart,Germany and London, UK.  I now live in Hamburg, Germany. Since 2011, I have taught English and worked at different international companies, where I have worked in Global Mobility (International HR).

Global Mobility is a niche area, which assists a company in moving employees across borders in a compliant manner. It consists of many moving parts which includes employment law, immigration, tax, social security, compensation, payroll, etc. In my current role, I am the Global Mobility Partner for Europe at a large integrated logistics company. As a subject matter expert, I advise and consult on how to set up compliant cross-border moves and communicate with numerous stakeholders.

Finally, I am thankful for my professors at Grand Valley, who encouraged me to push myself to the limit, think outside the box, come up with creative solutions, and never stop questioning.
