I graduated in 2011 with a double major in international relations and German. As a student at Grand Valley, I worked as a resident assistant for three years. In addition, I studied abroad twice at the Pädagogische Hochschule in Schwäbisch Gmünd, Germany.

During my study abroad, I very much enjoyed Southwest Germany, and decided to move back there after graduation to teach English. I lived in the Stuttgart area for nearly three years and relished the opportunity to immerse myself in the culture.

In April 2014, I returned to my home country of England, where I began working at Lidl UK (a supermarket chain). Currently, I am a member of the Lidl UK Head Office Global Mobility Team, which includes assignee and expatriate management. My position gives me the opportunity to interact in German on a daily basis, which I thoroughly enjoy.

Last but not least, I am thankful for my professors at Grand Valley, who encouraged me to push myself to the limit, think outside the box, come up with creative solutions, and never stop questioning.
