applied Medical Device Institute Collaborates with MediSurge to Offer Webinar on Current Status of 3D Printing for Polymer Medical Device Components

The webinar, "Current State of 3D Printing for Medical Device Polymer Components, Liquid Photopolymer Advances, Case Studies and How to Explore for Your Application," will include industry veterans Rick Shorey, Vice President R&D at Alliant Enterprises, and John Hall, Principal Engineer & Project Manager at the GVSU applied Medical Device Institute (aMDI). The webinar will be moderated by Dr. Brent Nowak, Executive Director for aMDI.

The webinar will cover the current status of 3D printing for polymer medical device components. Planned topics include a brief review of common polymer additive manufacturing (AM) processes, advances in liquid photopolymer AM, and an overview of digital light processing (DLP). A little deeper discussion on the specific benefits of DLP for medical device component production as well as some cases studies to highlight potential benefits and savings will be presented.

Wednesday, September 16th from 12 - 12:30 p.m. EDT.  There is no cost to participate, but registration is required.
