Current Student Advising

PREPARING FOR AN ADVISING APPOINTMENT

What should you do prior to your advising appointment? Here are some suggestions to follow that will maximize your appointment time:

  1. Review your myPath and update your program plan
  2. Generate a written list of questions to ask during your advising appointment.
  3. Review General Education Requirements.
  4. Review Secondary Admission Requirements.
  5. Before you come to your advising appointment, please be sure to review when, which format, and on which campus your advising appointment is scheduled for (if you selected an in-person appointment).

  • You do not have to meet with the advisor specifically assigned to you - any advisor in our office can address whatever topics you would like to discuss.
  • It is recommended to take an appointment that fits your schedule with any advisor instead of waiting a week to meet with your assigned advisor.
  • You will receive a confirmation email with appointment details once you schedule an advising appointment

Parent Information

If you are a parent calling to schedule an appointment for you and your student, please have your student complete a FERPA Release Form before calling our office.

FERPA Release Form

FERPA is the Family Educational Rights Protection Act, and under this act, your student's educational records are protected and cannot be released to others without their written consent.
