Scholarship Opportunities

Grand Valley Merit Scholarships

There is a wide variety of merit-based awards for incoming first-year and first time Grand Valley students. Most require high academic achievement and are automatically awarded to applicants based on information provided in the student's admission application.

Initial scholarship eligibility is reviewed and determined at the time of admission.  Additional consideration for scholarship and/or grant assistance will be determined in mid-January and will be sent out by the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships.  All applicants are strongly encouraged to file a FAFSA for maximum consideration for grant and scholarship aid.  Final scholarship decisions are made by July 31.

Transfer students admitted by March 1, 2021 may send updated documents to the Admissions Office until July 31, 2021 for scholarship consideration.

A complete admissions application must consist of the following:

  • Official transcripts
  • Results of the ACT or SAT test
  • $30.00 application fee
  • Admissions application submitted either online or by paper
