2026 STEPS Camp

Science, Technology, & Engineering Preview Summer Camp (STEPS) is a day-camp for rising 7th and 8th grade students that focuses on aviation. Students manufacture and assemble a radio-controlled airplane with the assistance of teachers, counselors, and volunteers. On the last day of camp, students fly their airplanes at a sanctioned fly field with the help of certified pilots. Throughout the week, students also learn about flight, utilize manufacturing equipment and tools, and go on field trips!
This year was particularly special as 2026 was the 25th anniversary of STEPS Camp. 70 middle school students participated in STEPS Camp this year. The PCE Outreach team had a fantastic time exploring STEM and aviation with our campers this summer!
