2026 Region 12 Michigan Science Olympiad

On March 21, PCE Outreach participated in the 2026 Region 12 Michigan Science Olympiad. We connected with 56 teams of middle and high school students who are passionate about STEM!
2026 marked the 42nd year that GVSU has hosted the regional tournament. A total of 712 middle and high school students from Ottawa, Kent, and Muskegon counties competed at the event. Region 12 MSO also drew nearly 3000 participants, including families, event volunteers, community partners, and GVSU faculty and staff.
Region 12 MSO teams also had great success at the State MSO tournament! For the middle school division, 5 of the top 20 teams came from Region 12, with Lakeshore Middle School taking 7th place. For the high school division, 2 of the top 20 teams came from Region 12, with Grand Haven High School taking 8th place.
