The GuniMix Pro is a mobile hydraulically powered trailer unit that is used in the manufacture of custom gunite pools. Gunite is similar to shotcrete, except water is added to the concrete blend at the nozzle as opposed to upstream in the system. This allows for faster cure times, reduced deformation, and easier maintenance on equipment. Our system consists of sand and cement hoppers, three hydraulically actuated augers used for conveying and mixing material, an Allen Bradley PLC for control and monitoring of the system, and a 65 HP engine to power the system. The GuniMix Pro also includes a C-10 Rotary Gun, which takes hydraulic power and pneumatic and water lines to shoot the material onto the pool walls. The main goal with this project was to redesign the customer's current system for improved controllability and efficiency, as well as a more intuitive user interface.
