Abstract
This project focuses on the design and development of an automated handling system for the Phoenix sealing process at Aspen Surgical. The current process relies on manual transfer and loading of pouched products, resulting in increased labor requirements and potential inefficiencies.
The proposed system will automate the transfer, orientation, and delivery of products into the Phoenix machine while maintaining existing process and quality requirements. An automated exit conveyance system will also be implemented to transport completed products to an operator collection point. The final design will integrate with existing equipment and comply with Aspen Surgical safety standards.
