Abstract
The Lightbox 2.1 is a testing device that will be used at Magna’s Engineering Center to simulate the changes in ambient and glare lighting environments while driving and their effects on an inside automotive mirror. The ambient light source in the lightbox simulates changes in daylight, while the glare light source simulates changes in headlights or any other light sources that hit the reflective glass of the mirror. The light sources of the Lightbox 2.1 are used to stimulate the sensors in the auto-dimming inside mirrors and to charge the EC cells so the response of the EC cells can be tested and measured for various testing purposes.
