The fully ABET accredited Bachelor of Science in Occupational Safety and Health Management (OSHM) degree at Grand Valley is designed to equip individuals with the essential skills for entry-level positions in safety management, industrial hygiene, and environmental protection, while concurrently laying the groundwork for professional certification. The demand for proficient, fully-qualified safety professionals is on the rise in Michigan and across the nation.

Larry Logsdon was the first OSH student at Grand Valley State University, and was instrumental in development of the curriculum. Now retired after working 34 years in the EHS field, Larry reflects on his time in industry.
