In this course students will study historical aspects of print, broadcast, and digital media with an emphasis on media used in the 20th and 21st centuries. Students will use archival materials and research historical events and publications through the original writings of the time. Fulfills General Education Cultures - U.S. Diversity. An experience of an essentially scholarly and/or creative nature undertaken by a student under the supervision of one or more faculty members. Initiated by the student who has a special interest in a subject that is not available in the current curriculum. The student and the faculty sponsor agree on the scope of the study, its components, and methods of evaluation. Offered every semester.
