  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program Traditional, Second-Degree, and RN-to-BSN Tracks

Cutting Edge Scholarship, Research, and Technology

KCON faculty and students are leading the way in nursing scholarship and research, help shape and transform the field of nursing and healthcare, both locally and across the world. Examples of these initiatives include:

  • Research and scholarship projects
  • The ongoing work coming out of The Bonnie Wesorick Center for Health Care Transformation
  • GVSU's Interprofessional Simulation Center, which is housed in KCON, helps educate GVSU students across the University through world-class simulation technology to support student success

These projects and initiatives are just a few examples of how KCON is invested and involved in the larger national conversations happening in the world of nursing education, health system leadership, and healthcare research and scholarship.

Opportunities for Collaboration

To be an effective nurse, collaboration is key. Similarly KCON recognizes the importance of collaboration and actively works to build bridges across nursing education, health systems, and industries to pursue solutions that ultimately improve patient care. Examples of this collaboration include: 

  • The West Michigan Nursing Practice Collaborate, which brings together nursing practioners and educators from accross the state to learn together and develop practical solutions to address real needs
  • Collaborating across GVSU to support and host events such as the DeVos Medical Ethics Colloquy, the Health Economic Insights, and the Health Intertech Conference
  • Relationship building with health systems and health-focused non-profits across the State and region to support the nursing education we provide and to address the healthcare needs of our community
