FACULTY/STAFF: HOW TO ACCESS YOUR NETWORK DATA DRIVES ON WINDOWS 8 AND WINDOWS 10 COMPUTERS

If you are currently using a Windows 8 or Windows 10 PC computer there will be no changes in how you access your personal N: and departmental L: drives. If you are still using a Windows 7 computer and it can be upgraded to Windows 8 then your new operating system will no longer have the option of accessing these drives directly in any Windows “File Explorer” or “Save As” dialogue box/menu. These direct drive mappings have been removed for security reasons. You can learn more about accessing and saving to these drives using these updated instructions.
