Description
This session will describe the benefits of viewing students from a holistic lens with an emphasis on mental health and wellbeing. Participants are invited to engage in dialogue regarding the intersection of academics and mental health. This will be an interactive session, not limited to, collective brainstorming, scenarios, and more!
Learning Outcomes - Participants will be able to:
- Understanding the benefit(s) of viewing the student(s) from a holistic lens.
- Appropriately engage with culturally diverse students.
- Recognize the importance of utilizing an equity mindset to help alleviate academic disparities and barriers.
- Know how to access mental health resources, services, and support for students.
