Keynote Speakers
Verlan Lewis
Verlan Lewis is the Stirling Professor of Constitutional Studies, and an associate professor of political science, at Utah Valley University where he researches, teaches, and writes about American political thought, institutions, and development. His writing has been published by The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, Cambridge University Press, Oxford University Press, Presidential Studies Quarterly, Political Science Quarterly, and Studies in American Political Development, among others. He earned graduate degrees from Cambridge University and the University of Virginia, and has held academic fellowships at Stanford University and Harvard University.
Hyrum Lewis
Hyrum Lewis has held academic positions at Stanford University, Skidmore College, and Brigham Young University-Idaho, where he is currently a professor of history. He received a Ph.D. from the University of Southern California and writes regularly for the Wall Street Journal, The Washington Examiner, and other national publications. His most recent book, The Myth of Left and Right (co-authored with Verlan Lewis) won the FreedomFest book of the year award and made The Harvard Kennedy School Leadership and Happiness Laboratory’s “What to Read in 2024” list.
