Kathy Crosby: Leading to Build Goodwill

Good work opportunities provide transformative potential for individuals and communities alike. Kathy Crosby, CEO of Goodwill of Greater Grand Rapids since December 2006, works toward the realization of this potential every day.

Remarkably, Kathy’s journey began at Goodwill as an office clerk in 1980. She started college in her thirties, completing her undergraduate degree and her master’s in organizational leadership at Siena Heights University. After transferring to the Bethesda, Maryland branch of Goodwill in the 1990s, she won a scholarship to the University of Maryland Smith School of Business, where she earned her Executive MBA. For her outstanding work as CEO of Goodwill of Greater Grand Rapids, she received the ATHENA Award from the Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce in July 2011.
