Barbara Pickut: Wheelhouse Talks

As Medical Director of Parkinson’s and Movement Disorders at The Hauenstein Neuroscience Center at Mercy Health Saint Mary’s, and associate professor at the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, Dr. Barbara Pickut is a standout in the Grand Rapids medical, neuroscience, and academic communities. A graduate of the University of Michigan for her bachelors and masters degrees, with an M.D. from the University of Antwerp, Belgium, Dr. Pickut has completed thirty-eight clinical trials related to Parkinson’s Disease since 1992, co-founded the Belgian Movement Disorders Society, and studied the role of mindfulness and mind-body intervention in movement disorders. On November 12th, 2014, Dr. Pickut spoke on her leadership experiences abroad, in the classroom, and in the medical community.
