Winter in the Valley: Explore the ravines as the season turned colder

Outside of walking the Little Mak bridge or taking a stroll around the Arboretum, many GVSU community members never venture further to explore some of Grand Valley’s most stunning scenery: the ravines.

A hidden gem in the heart of campus, the steep elevation change and geological makeup of the on-campus ravines are not only an accessible, one-of-a-kind spectacle, but also make up some of the most well-preserved and cared-for land in the area.

This photo essay captures the splendor of the fall and winter seasons in the ravines, one of Grand Valley's most unique spaces.
